At Blue Wave BJJ, instructors come together to create an inspirational space driven by a relentless pursuit of ensuring you reach your utmost potential.

Our method consists of four parts that all work together to accomplish the goal of becoming the best version of yourself inside and outside the gym.

  1. Philosophy – having over two decades of experience in the sport, our instructors will introduce you to the principles of Jiu-Jitsu, the techniques, and what it means to be a Martial Artist.  
  2. Study – we encourage students to educate themselves on all levels of BJJ. By having an understanding of and ability to apply the Martial Art, students will also develop their self-defense capabilities. 
  3. Competition – the academy encourages students to immerse themselves in a competitive environment to allow them to push their limits and boundaries. With competing, students develop a variety of skills that help them in their Jiu-Jitsu journey, such as, resilience, tenacity, and a NEVER QUIT attitude.

Adult BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport base on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. BJJ focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one’s opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu

Welcome to our exciting Kids Jiu-Jitsu Program! Designed with young learners in mind, our program is an engaging and empowering journey into the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tailored for children aged 3 to 13.

No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu /Grappling

NoGi grappling uses the principles from BJJ and wrestling without the use of Gi, the traditional uniform of BJJ. NOGI is practiced wearing a rash guard and shorts. Wrestling focuses on the stand up aspect of grappling. it is typically trained at a higher intensity than BJJ focusing on taking your opponent to the ground.
